2012 CIAPE INSIGHTS
The 2012 edition of the annual China International Autoparts Expo (CIAPE) was held in Beijing October 26 – 28th. We were attending the show on the final day which is always a little bit of a risk depending on how many exhibitors decide to pack up early. The Tuning / Performance section was held in Halls 6 & 7 again this year with a few exhibitors outside. The quality of this show varies greatly from year to year and I would place the 2012 edition on par with the 2009 show. For reference purposes, of the 5 years we’ve attended the Tuning / Performance portion of the show, 2011 was by far the best and 2010 (outdoor exhibitors only) was the worst. The other 3 years were all roughly the same.
